Sarcastic to a fault and an undercover optimist, this is the weird little world that is my life. For some reason and in spite of being really boring, all kinds of wonderful, funny things happen to me. This is my writing experiment. How it’ll turn out or what I’m trying to do, I’ll find out somewhere along the way.

Duck! Rabbit!

Ello!

Truth be told, I'm not feeling very bloggy today but I will not let that destroy my routine! So this post will probably be half assed but... well... I'll have more time tomorrow.

Today was long. Lots of learning got done. I hung out in the WC again, which of course means insanity. I had a very in depth discussion about James Bond with Bonnie and finally expressed how I feel about Ian/TFFKI. He indulges me. There are no clumsy moments to report today. My keys remained safe in my pockets and out of the sewer. The book we read in sociology was actually quite cool. It's called "Duck! Rabbit!" The two narrators are arguing over whether the creature they're seeing is a duck or a rabbit. It's to show kids that you can have different perspectives and both be right. I liked it better than last week's although it wasn't quite as weirdly funny.

That's the duck/rabbit. They later argue over whether another shape is an ant eater or a dinosaur. It was cute.

When I finally got home from school it was to discover that my dad's Christmas gift finally got here. Turns out it wasn't shipped from the States as indicated on ebay. Judging by the packaging it was sent from China somewhere. It's been a while since I took a geography class but I'm pretty sure the US and China are quite a distance apart. Unless you're in Hawaii... then it's closer... but that's beside the point. It also smelled like moth balls. I'm hoping it works the way it was described. I really don't feel like paying return shipping.

Anyway, that's it for me today I'm afraid. I'm feeling really lazy.

  1. Huh. Something from ebay....came from china....smelled like moth balls...she hopes it works as intended.

Now, there's a mystery! You're gonna eventually tell us what it is, I hope??

  2. Kathryn: Ugh... I know right? Hoping... But you guys were the ones who were all like "Don't give up on hoping". It's one of the small things. I thought I did tell you all what it was! I'll be sure to mention it tonight.
